Menu for my Action Plan

After a recent Workshop on Action Plan, which was sponsored by the Milwaukee Area Intergroup, I was a little overwhelmed.

During the course of the workshop, I had jotted down a number of helpful actions that I felt I needed to attend to daily. And after the workshop, I added a few more! As I looked at all those “helpful” practices, I came to the conclusion that I couldn’t possibly take all those actions every day. At first I was stymied and felt defeated and negative. But before long, my mind calmed and I accepted reality.

Next thing I knew, an intuitive thought had hatched! I could have a Menu of Actions to choose from. Just like other menus, I don’t select every item. I pick and choose. And so it has evolved that I have an Action Plan Menu that is useful to me on any given day.

It suggests positive actions to me, and I can select what fits me for that particular day. And best of all, I have positive feelings that I am doing the next right thing or things. I don’t feel overwhelmed. I don’t neglect taking actions nor do I stay away from the Menu out of fear of failure. It has turned into a lovely guideline and I can take what I like from it.

It’s the best approach I’ve ever tried. Love it and wanted to share the concept. Here are the items on my Menu, if you are interested to know. If you try this, I hope you will be as thrilled as I am about the results.
